WAA Welcomes New Executive Director

The Women Against Abuse Board of Directors has appointed Jeannine Lisitski as the agency's new Executive Director, effective June 1, 2009.

With over 16 years of experience in non-profit social services, Ms. Lisitski brings a wealth of experience to WAA. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Operations at Project H.O.M.E., where she was responsible for an annual operating budget of $11 million, and oversaw the agency’s multiple housing programs.

Ms. Lisitski’s previous experience includes leadership, management and direct service for a range of social service and residential programs addressing homelessness, addiction, domestic violence, mental illness, education and employment. With this background, she will continue to build on WAA’s strong foundation and encourage even more opportunity and growth for the agency.

WAA Deputy Director Christine Stutman will act as interim executive director until Ms. Lisitski joins the agency full time on June 1.
